Welcome
Hi, I would like to welcome you to my blog. My name is Shelley Chandlee. I am attending Kaplan to get my BSN. I have been a nurse for 25 years now. I graduated from a 3 year Diploma Program in 1985, in Danville, Virginia. My mother and sister also attended the same school of nursing. My mother graduated in 1959, and is still nursing in the home health field now. My sister graduated in 1986 (first to graduate from the 2 year program), she is a Nursing Safety Officer at a facility in Ft. Meade, Maryland. I am originally from Richmond, Virginia. Currently, I live in Galesburg, IL with my husband Bob and our five kids, Bryce (19), Brandon (18), Bradley (16), Sarah (10), and Landon (5). I have a Bassett Hound named Bruno, 3 cats, sugar, poopers, and smokey and 1 bird-snow. I work in Peoria, IL which is 48 miles from Galesburg, so makes the winter drive home quite interesting. I hope to graduate next year-which will be very exciting-can't wait!! I wish you all the very best of luck and very warm wishes for everything successful!!

ReplyDeleteWow you must be very busy with your children and animals. I have a dog and cat and they get upset when I do not pay enough attention to them of course they are spoiled rotten so that may have something to do with it. I love hound dogs! My Aunt actually goes Bassett hunting each week in MD with a group of people. She used to have a huge English Fox hound when I was a child he thought he was a Jack Russell Terrier and would always try to get in my lap lol. Animals are great! There is nothing like a snuggle from a cat or a warm kiss from a dog when you are feeling down.
I am also in school to get my BS in Nutrition. I am just finishing my first year though, so I still have a ways to go.
